Ubtunu on Virtualbox

To know the ip address use the below command

ip a
ip add

For enabling SSH refer to link 

To install SSH on ubuntu

sudo apt install openssh-server


To know if the SSH is running

sudo systemctl status ssh


To stop SSH

sudo systemctl stop ssh

To start SSH if it is not running

sudo systemctl start ssh

To disable SSH service

sudo systemctl disable ssh

To enable SSH service

sudo systemctl enable ssh

To update or upgrade the ubtunu use the below command

sudo apt-get update        # Fetches the list of available updates
sudo apt-get upgrade       # Strictly upgrades the current packages
